Fans of Daredevil will know that his absent mother plays a big part in who he is in the comics… and now it seems she will appear in the third season of the Netflix show.
And she’ll be played by an FTN fan favourite: Joanne Whalley.
At the end of the second season of Daredevil, Matt Murdock’s mother, Maggie, was referenced but now seen and it looks like she’ll definitely be seen this season.

Star of Willow (and once partner of Val Kilmer) Whalley will play Sister Maggie in the third episode of the season which makes sense as word is this season will borrow from the Born Again comics which introduced Matt’s estranged mother.
Marvel TV boss and executive producer Jeph Loeb said of her casting:“We are big fans of Joanne’s work and are fortunate that someone of her calibre will be joining our already talented family.”
Still no word on when Daredevil Season 3 will arrive but we doubt it’ll be too far away.
