As the legend goes, there’s just no keeping Lucifer down.
The show, which was cancelled by FOX was rescued for a fourth and fifth season – airing soon – in the understanding that that would wrap the tale up. And, while not ideal, it was closure for the show’s passionate fandom.
But it seems that there could be more to come.
Word is that Netflix is in talks with series producer Warner Bros. TV about bringing the show back for a sixth season and that showrunner/executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson are keen for more too.
The new report says that star Tom Ellis and other cast members already have been approached for other shows on other networks but as of now are still available so, if it all comes together quickly, there’s a strong likelihood a new series will begin filming in September this year.
The series, based on Neil Gaiman DC’s Vertigo series has proved something of a hit with fans and recently saw the star, Tom ellis, reprise the character on The CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event.
Personally, I have a feeling this will come to happen, but there’s never certainty until it hits screens.
Let me know your thoughts.
