Netflix’s Lost In Space to end after season 3

March 20th, 2020 by Marc Comments

While I loved the first season of Netflix’s Lost in Space, I have yet to watch season 2, what with the apocalypse and all.

But it seems that the series is finite and an end is in sight… and pretty soon at that.

Yes, season 3 will be the end of the Robinsons’ adventures in space.

Showrunner Zack Estrin has confirmed a three season arc was the plan all along.

“From the beginning, we’ve always viewed this particular story of The Robinsons as a trilogy,” Estrin said.

“A three part epic family adventure with a clear beginning, middle and end. It’s also worth noting that, with what these characters go through just trying to survive each episode — if anyone deserves to catch their breath before their next mission — it’s Will, Penny, Judy, Maureen, John, Don West, Dr Smith… and The Robot. And, of course, Debbie the Chicken. So while this chapter of Lost In Space is coming to a rousing conclusion, I’m excited about continuing to explore new stories with my friends at Netflix, and for all of the incredible possibilities that lie ahead.”

On the subject, Netflix’s Ted Biaselli said: “We are so thrilled to share more adventures of The Robinson Family and see their journey through to what is sure to be an epic finale.”

It’s nice these days to know that series will not always be forced to keep running as long as it makes money but will, in fact, be allowed to have a proper start middle and end.

What say you all? Will you be tuning in for the last season?

Lost in Space season 3 doesn’t have a release date yet.
