Well, we’ve had Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist is coming – here’s a trailer – so now we’re looking beyond to the assembling of these four heroes in the form of The Defenders.

Now, we already had the awesome announcement that Sigourney Weaver will be the main villain (here) and now we have a director attached and our first official synopsis.

Heroes, Dexter, Banshee and Jessic Jones director S.J. Clarkson will direct the first two episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders, which will be an eight-episode limited series in 2017 on Netflix.

As well as that, we have a synopsis of the show too:

“Marvel’s The Defenders” follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal — to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb said: “S.J.’s take on the material is outstanding. We loved her work on ‘Marvel’s Jessica Jones’ and couldn’t think of a more talented and accomplished person to helm the first two episodes of ‘Marvel’s The Defenders.’”

So The Defenders is off to an impressive start… role on 2017

Marvel’s The Defenders stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron Fist, with Sigourney Weaver as the villain.
