With Luke Cage hitting hard over on Netflix and the trailer for the upcoming Iron Fist (here) meaning the onscreen Defenders are almost assembled, we have a pretty damned awesome bit of news about the big bad in The Defenders series.
Hot from New York Comic Con 2016, Marvel’s head of TV Jeph Loeb has announced that Sigourney Weaver will be the main villain in Netflix’s highly anticipated series..
Weaver herself was onstage with Daredeveil (Charlie Cox), Iron fist (Finn Jones), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Luke Cage (Mike Colter).
While it hasn’t been revealed who she’ll be playing – fee free to start speculating guys – Weaver is already a Nerd icon with Aliens, Ghostbusters, Cabin In The Woods, Galaxy Quest and Avatar under her belt, so we’re excited as heck to see what she’s bringing to the table as far as the MCU is concerned.
