Everything seems to be full steam ahead for Marvel and Netflix’s latest collaboration, as Iron Fist gets more casting news announced, as well as having some cheeky set photos emerge online. The series, which will follow on in the same world from Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the first run for Luke Cage, is set to appear on Netflix sometime in 2017. This won’t hinder the excitement levels though, as it was announced by Variety that more casting decisions have been made. Joining Finn Jones, who heads up the series as Danny Rand, will be Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey, playing the sibling duo of Joy and Ward Meachum, respectively. The pair are the children of Harold Meachum, who will be played by David Wenham). In Variety’s report, it states that “Joy and Ward have spent their lives building Rand Enterprises to its current standing in the world, only to have all their work put in jeopardy when Danny returns to claim his birthright. They are childhood acquaintances of Danny Rand’s who now play an important role in Rand Enterprises.” In more Fist news, production has officially got underway, as evident from the set pictures that have already made their way online.
Showing images of Jones on set, they don’t give very much away, however fans are speculating that this could be Rand’s return to New York, following his decade-long absence while undergoing his training in K’un-Lun.
