After his introduction in 2018’s Into the Spider-verse, Spider-man Noir became a big hit with fans new and old and it wasn’t long after that we learned a live-action TV series based on the character was coming.
While the news has been around for a while now, the Amazon Prime series, being overseen by Spider-verse’s Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, would potentially be a win that Sony’s Spider-man universe needs after Madame Web’s recent release and critical and commercial mauling.
Lord and Miller say Spider-man: Beyond the Spider-verse will only be released when it’s ready

And it looks like it might just be the winner because word is that Nicholas Cage, who voiced the character in Into the Spider-verse, is in talks to play the titular hero in live-action – he will also play him in the upcoming third Spider-verse entry, Beyond the Spiderverse.
Word is that the series, as we’d imagine it would, will be set in an alternate reality’s 1930s New York although as of now, it’s unclear if this is the same Noir we met in the Spider-verse movies or a variant of him as Amazon’s owning of the show may cause problems connecting it all together.
As well as this, we’re hearing that the other live-action Spider-verse spin-off, Silk: Spider Society, is having a massive overhaul with new writers being brought in to start from the ground up, with the word being it’ll now be aimed more at the male demographic, whatever that means.
Cage’s work as Noir was a lot of fun and it encapsulated the character and made him feel distinct from all over spider-man variants and we’ve heard that he’s been looking to move into TV now as it’s a new challenge as he’s only ever worked in film, so this could be a marriage made in heaven.
