Get ready for the new daily show

No, it doesn’t seem that DC Universe’s Stargirl is moving to The CW

With DC Universe delivering the goods with Titans, Doom Patrol and the great-while-it-lasted Swamp Thing, we’re all waiting to see what the more light-hearted Stargirl will be like.

But in the short space of a couple of hours we’ve had a big rumour and then a return to normalcy.

so late last night Collider’s Jeff Sneider reported that it looked like Stargirl may no longer be set for DC Universe, but rather may be heading to The CW, joining the Arrowverse.

While the reason was unknown, Sneider reported that the show would need extensive reshoots to make it tonally fit with The CW’s universe and, on top off this, the uncut episodes would be heading to HBO Max later.

Now, admittedly, we’ve heard very little about the show since its initial announcement – I thought we’d have seen it air after Swamp Thing, but nom nothing has been announced about it’s airing or anything further.

there is a possibility that Stargirl may be making a move from DC Universe to The CW. The reason for the potential move is unknown at this time.

However, it seems that Warners Brothers, through the Stargirl TV twitter account have said the report is ‘not accurate’ (below).

Honestly, I can think of no reason why this would be the case as the show was created by Geoff Johns specifically for the DC streaming service.

But, that said, it would be nice to hear a little more about the show and when we might see it.

Thoughts?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
