The Continental, the first John Wick universe TV series, has been given its official release date and a new teaser (below).
While I previously reported the series was expected to arrive in September, it’s been confirmed that the series will be a three-night event and will kick off on Sept 22nd, then Sept 29th and wrapping on Oct 6th.
I had hoped it might air back-to-back over three consecutive nights in September but it’s going to be a three-week adventure it seems.
WATCH: First teaser drops for John Wick spinoff The Continental
The series comes after John Wick 4’s release earlier this year with The Ballerina spinoff movie set for release next year.
The three-part event series will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind.
Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.
