The CW has released its premiere dates for its primetime shows, all of which begin in October, with a couple of old favourites being paired up with new shows.

For fans of the DC shared universe series’ Arrow, The Flash & Legends Of Tomorrow, 2016 will see Supergirl move to The CW from NBC, having already been established as being in the same on-screen universe (though, maybe not the exact same one) as the others after The Flash star Grant Gusgin guest starred in an episode last season. It will begin airing on Monday nights at 8:00pm from 10th October.

The Flash and Arrow premiere a week earlier, in the same slots as previous seasons, starting Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th October respectively at 8:00pm. Legends Of Tomorrow starts its season the same week as Supergirl, in its previous slot as per last season from Thursday 13th October at 8:00pm where it is joined by long running Supernatural, also premiering on 13th October at 9:00pm. We already know there will be a crossover story across all four DC series’ during December, this would make it something like the 6-8th episodes of the shows’ seasons if there are no breaks between airings, no doubt full details of this will be confirmed in the lead up to the actual event.

Also returning along with these shows from last season are Jane The Virgin, joining Supergirl on Monday nights from 17th October at 9:00pm, and The Vampire Diaries and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend making up Friday nights at 8:00pm and 9:00pm from 21st October.

New shows:

The first of two new primetime shows is mystery thriller Frequency, a remake of the 2000 movie of the same name which features a unique twist on the time-travel story. When detective Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) in finds she is speaking with her decease father Frank (Riley Smith) 20 years earlier through a CB radio, she inadvertently alters history, resulting in a serial killer going on a 20 year killing spree.

If however comedies Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are more your sort of thing, the other new primetime show No Tomorrow may be your sort of thing. It follows the character of Evie (Tori Anderson), a woman who finally meets the man of her dreams in Xavier (Joshua Sasse), who lives life to the fullest. An attribute that Evie finds very appealing even when she learns his reasons for living life the way he does… that he believes the end is nigh.
