Quinn teasing Eddie Munson return in Stranger Things season 5?

April 8th, 2024 by Marc Comments

Hmmmmmm… is the now-filming Stranger Things Season 5 set to bring back a very popular – albeit dead – fan favourite?

Speaking at CinemaCon actor Joeseph Quinn, who played Eddie Munson in season 4 of the hit series was asked if he would be returning for season 5 and his answer was ambiguously positive.

Now, just so we’re caught up, Munson in the series was a metaller who the town believed was a satan worshipper and up to no good, this wasn’t helped when he became wrapped up in murders in the town carried out by the villainous Vecna; in the final battle Eddie diees fighting Vecna’s minions to save the town who believe, even in death, that he was a murderer.

It’s a tragic end for a very fun character and Quinn bestowed Eddie with all the essential qualities for a loser you could root for, especially when the odds were stacked in his favour.

Stranger Things animated series officially announced

Anyway, in the video below, you can see a fan ask him if he’s returning for the fifth season and the actor seems very hesitant to reply before saying: “I do know, but I’m not telling you.”

This is a curious answer because it can really only mean that he is coming back otherwise, you’d have to imagine he’d have simply said ‘no’.

What do you think? Will we see Eddie again? Flashback, perhaps? Or something more fantastical? Let me know your thoughts, Nerds and Nerdettes.
