RUMOUR: Reva getting her own Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff series

June 10th, 2022 by Marc Comments

Possible big news for fans of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+ as it seems the show’s first spinoff is in development.

While the show focuses on Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen), one of the biggest secondary characters has to be Moses Ingram’s Reva, the Third Sister (above).

Now, before we go any further, we are aware of the racist abuse Ingram has been getting online and, for the record, if you’re one of the people sending it to her, we don’t want you on this page, in fact, we don’t want you on this planet, the only thing Ingram should be judged on here is her performance and her character in the show – and that’s not even really anything to do with her – if you judge her by the colour of her skin or her gender, you’re not a very decent person.

Now, with that said – and it sickens me in this day and age it even has to be – I don’t think Ingram’s performance in the series is really all that good. Looking at McGregor’s work, young Vivien Lyra Blair’s amazing and utterly adorable performance as young Leia and Indira Varma as Tala, Ingram has tough competition but she’s not, in my opinion, holding her own in what should be a standout role.

However, it seems that Disney doesn’t share my feelings as it seems that Reva, the Third Sister, is getting her own spinoff series. We learned a week or so ago that the ending of the series had be dramatically changed to leave the door open for someone to return… I guess we now know who that was as early reports were that things did not end well for her in the show.

According to this new report: Our sources have told us that a Reva spin-off series starring Moses Ingram is in development for Disney Plus. We were unable to get any plot details regarding the spin-off – so it’s unclear if it will be set before or after Obi-Wan Kenobi.

One of the things that is interesting about the character is who exactly she is. We reckon there’s been two possible answers to that in the series so far and with two episodes left we doubt we’ll get her full origins explained… could this be the story for the spinoff if it happens?

Anyways, that’s all we know for now, if this story develops, we’ll keep you posted.
