Em, we don’t know what to make of this but there’s a BIG Gotham spoiler/tease/hint in the below video from TV Line.

At SDCC this past weekend they caught up with the cast of Gotham and while they talked about the new season, a few things were gleamed…

– Fish Mooney will lead the released villains in gotham.

– The Bruce Wayne doppleganger isn’t really a bad guy… yet. And he has a reason for existing that will be explored.

– Gordon will be going out with Vicky Vale’s sister, Valerie as he and Lee will both move on this year.

– The Theme of the third season is ‘Heroes Will Fall’.

But that’s all small stuff compared to the one dropped by James Gordon himself, Ben Mckenzie.

When asked if they could share anything massive, he piped up – and the rest of the cast genuinely seemed surprised – that Gordon will take a detour this season: “Yours truly might become another iconic DC character… in the middle of the season [or] at the end of the season. He might take on the persona of a different character. That’s an exclusive! And I might have just gone too far.”

Now, we have no idea what that could really mean but one thing that comes to mind is that recently in the comics Gordon became Batman.

we’re not sure if Gotham would go that direction – after all it would mean that Bruce is Gotham’s second Batman which will annoy a legion of fans.

But it would get rid of the complaint that all the rogues gallery are out there without Batman.

Are we missing something? Who do you think it might mean?

Let us know…

Gotham returns on Monday, September 19 th.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
