SDCC 2023: WATCH: Trailer swoops in for Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4

July 23rd, 2023 by Marc Comments

All the way from SDCC 2023, we have a trailer for the hit Star Trek animated series Lower Decks.

This September the series boldly goes into its fourth season and we see the Star Trek V: The Final Frontier nod in that poster (original poster), so well played on that one, guys… fun fact, as a kid, Final Frontier was my favorite Trek movie.

And if you’re a fan of the show, it’s not over yet as it’s been given the go-ahead for season 5.

Developed by Emmy Award winner Mike McMahan (“Rick and Morty,” “Solar Opposites”), “Star Trek: Lower Decks”, a new half-hour animated comedy series, focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380. Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and Tendi have to keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.

Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4 premieres on Paramount+ on September 7

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s FacebookTwitter and Instagram

Lower Decks Season Four trailer:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
