SDCC: Could Barbara Gordon AKA Oracle be heading to Arrow?

July 26th, 2014 by Marc Comments

This might be a bit of a grope in the dark, but we do love a good speculation…

At Warner’s SDCC Arrow panel, it was pointed out that Season 3 of the series would go someway to exploring Felicity Smoak’s (below) background, especially in an episode called Oracle.

Now, DC fans will know that Oracle is the name of Barbara Gordon, who was once Batgirl and who is also Commissioner Gordon’s daughter.

According to Comicbookmovie, a big part of Felicity’s story will take place at MIT. Could Felicity meet Barbara there, perhaps?

Personally, I’ve alway thought that Felicity was Arrow’s Oracle. She fulfils the role perfectly and, I’m wondering if the brief clip of her lying bleeding on Oliver’s table in his Batcave, ahem, HQ in the SDCC Season 3 promo (here) might lead to her becoming injured and confined to a wheelchair?

It’s all speculation, but surely it’s safe to assume that an episode called Oracle in a DC show that is so related to Batman is no coincidence?

Arrow returns on October 8th

What do you think? Will Babs appear? Is Felicity set to play out the role? Or is it all just nonsense… let us know below,  @NerdFollowing or on Facebook
