Thanks to Comic Book Resources we have the first official image of Stephen Amell’s new vigilante threads for Arrow season 4!

And it couldn’t get closer to the comic book Green Arrow costume if it tried.  Well, Amell could grow a beard, but who would want to cover up such fine bone structure?  Yes with the Arrow persona retired at the end of season 3 it seems that Oliver Queen will finally be picking up the mantle of The Green Arrow in the new season, something which comic book fans have been waiting to see since the show first debuted. An interesting theory has emerged that perhaps the events of the Flash season 1 finale has had an effect on the Arrow universe too, as it has been confirmed that the name of the city has changed from Starling City to Star City.

Amell took to the stage at Comic Con to show off his new look, and thanks to Bleeding Cool we have an image of him doing just that.

And for your viewing pleasure, here’s the season 3 recap which was shown at the DC/Warner Bros. SDCC panel…

Arrow season 4 kicks off on October 7th.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
