She’s coming back! Ahsoka gets season two order

January 9th, 2024 by Marc Comments

A few minutes ago we reported the awesome news that The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau was bringing us a big-screen Mando & Grogu movie (here) and now it seems there’s more awesome news from the Mandoverse.

Chief creative officer of Lucasfilm, Dave Filoni is developing a second season of the really rather great Ahsoka starring Rosario Dawson.

While there’s been no more revealed than that as the series is at the development stage for now, it’s expected that the story of Grand Admiral Thrawn, played by the awesome Lars Mikkelsen, and his thirst to retake the galaxy in the name of the deceased Emperor Palpatine.

Yes! Jon Favreau begins production on a Mandalorian and Grogu movie this year!

It’s also expected that it will see the rest of the cast returning including Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as New Republic general Hera Syndulla and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger.

Sadly we will not see any more of the great Baylan Skoll played by the late Ray Stevenson, although his appearance in the first season, Shin Hati, played by Ivanna Sakhno will likely return.

I also hope we see more of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in the second season.

We’ll keep you posted when we hear more, meanwhile, we have The Acolyte, Skeleton Crew, Bad Batch Season 3, Tales of the Jedi Season 2 and Andor Season 2 to keep us busy on the small screen.

Does Baylan Skoll have a list of targets that includes Han, Luke and Leia in Ahsoka series?

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s FacebookTwitterInstagramYoutube, Bluesky,

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
