Oh, yes!
All the way from Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, we have all new looks at next year’s two most anticipated shows, Ahsoka season one and The Mandalorian season 3.
And, while the trailers don’t seem like they’re being officially released, you can check them out below courtesy of some lovely people with camera phones in the crowds.
The videos aren’t the best quality but there are some cool details from the two teasers:
Babu Frick:
Yes, the crazy little alien who helped extract C-3PO’s memories in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker can be seen briefly in The Mandorian season 3 teaser.
Chopper:
Ok, not seen in the teasers, Chopper, the fan favourite droid from Rebels, made an appearance on the stage with Rosario Dawson (love her new hair!), so we’re betting that he too will be seen in the Ahsoka series after his live-action debut in Rogue One.
Hera Syndulla:
Yes! One of our favourite rebel pilots, Rebels’ Hera, left, will appear in the Ahsoka series and we can’t wait to see her in live-action!
Hyuank:
Last seen in Clone Wars, Huyang was a Mark IV architect droid professor based aboard the Jedi vessel Crucible who, for a thousand generations, taught Jedi younglings, including Grand Master Yoda and Jedi Master Mace Windu, how to construct their lightsabers following the Gathering. He was voiced in Clone Wars by The Doctor himself, David Tennant and since Tennant is a massive Star Wars fan, we’re betting we’ll hear him in Ahsoka too.
Sabine Wren:
While it’s not in the Ahsoka trailer below as it was cut out in the leaked clip, the teaser ended with Sabine Wren walking up to the painting from Rebels – also featured in the above image – Sabine will be played in Ahsoka by actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo.
All these connections to the past and future of Star Wars are a lot of fun – yes, even Frick – and we can bet when the full shows hit, there will be much, much more.
