Legendary actor Stephen Fry is one of the half a dozen British actors that hasn’t been cast on Doctor Who. Well that’s all about to change as he’s been cast to be in the first episode of season 12.
He’ll be joining the time lord herself Jodie Whittaker and was spotted late September in Swansea, Uk, shooting scenes for the episode.
Now we don’t know the role Stephen will be playing during his episode, but saying that he was spotted filming and looking at Doctor Who’s fondness for costumes I’d say that if he could be recognised then he must be a humanoid of some sorts.
Stephen has voiced the Minister of Chance in the animated webcast Death Comes to Time back in 2001 alongside previous Doctor, Sylvester McCoy.
Little is known on the episode other than it’s meant to be a spy drama of sorts.
Personally, I’m not sure where the BBC are going with Doctor Who, Jodie is a brilliant Doctor but I just think the writing is lacking in some ways and I hope they can work it out.
New season of Doctor Who to be aired some time in 2020, until then stay tuned for further details and stay nerdy people.
