Stephen King’s The Things They Left Behind goes to Pilot episode

Stephen King Pilot Ordered by CBS. Following a competitive bidding process, CBS has landed rights to Stephen King adaptation The Things They Left Behind.

King’s original short story The Things They Left Behind was set in the aftermath of 9/11. It was originally published in 2003 as part of the compilation Transgressions: Volume Two.

The series is intended to be a supernatural procedural drama based on the short story, which will be produced by Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Productions.

Written by Seth Grahame-Smith (author of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies) and produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), The Things They Left Behind centres on an unlikely pair of investigators carrying out the unfinished business of the dead. Grahame-Smith and his producing partner David Katzenberg will executive produce through their KatzSmith banner, along with Berlanti and Berlanti Productions’ Sarah Schechter.
