Well it looks like we’re one step closer to another DC hero on The CW with this new piece of casting news.
The Black Lightning show, which we know will be joining the ranks of Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and The Legends of Tomorrow soon, has fond its lead in the form of Hart of Dixie actor Cress Williams.
The drama, originally developed at Fox but ordered to pilot at CW, revolves around Jefferson Pierce (Williams), who made a choice to hang up his suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hell-bent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend — Black Lightning.
The show will likely join The CW next season and it’s very possible we will see the character(s) in the now traditional crossover event that appears near Christmas time.
The show is expected to have a predominantly African American cast and we can’t wait to see The CW universe expend into this whole new arena.
Let us know what you all think, guys…
