Get ready for the new daily show

The CW pulls plug on Green Arrow and the Canaries spinoff show

January 8th, 2021 by Marc Comments

Well, we’ve been waiting since September 2019 to find out if we were getting a Green Arrow and the Canaries series over at The CW –  a sequel to the Arrow series that started the whole Arrowverse and tonight we know the answer…

The spinoff was set to follow Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, and Juliana Harkavy as Dinah Drake and take place in the dark future of the Arrowverse and was set up last January in the Arrow Season 8 episode called Green Arrow & The Canaries (here), leaving us wondering when the show would arrive…

But now it seems that’s a train destined to never arrive.

While The CW has been very generous with the Arrowverse over the years and still is working on more shows such as Wonder Girl and the Black Lightning spinoff Painkiller (here) but, alas, it seems the adventures of the Queen/Smoak line in the Arrowverse has come to an end… at least in the core shows.

Are you annoyed? Were you looking forward to the show or do you think it was a bad idea? I want to hear all those thoughts, guys…
