It looks like we’re getting another new take on the Dark shadows series courtesy of The CW.
The series, which aired from 1966 to 1971 told the story of the Collins family living in their Collinswood, Maine estate who is led by Barnabas Collins – a vampire – into weekly adventures with the weird and paranormal.
The series has two movies, a brief 90s reboot and a 2012 movie starring Johnny Depp as Barnabus.
But now, adding to the ever-expanding mythology, we have Dark Shadows: Reincarnation, “a modern-day continuation of the strange, terrifying, and sexy saga of the Collins family of Collinsport, Maine — a mysterious, influential, publicity-shy group hiding a ghastly secret: For the past 400 years, they’ve lived under a curse that bedevils their blueblood with every imaginable supernatural creature and horror.”
When will we see the new series? At a guess I’d say next year.
Are you excited for this? Let me know.
