So, looks like the super-babies in the upcoming Superman & Lois series from The CW will in fact be… teens.
Wait, what?
So, you may recall that pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths Clark and Lois had a baby boy and then, after the event, it was revealed they actually have two boys. And, it seems the timeline is changed and the kids are much older than the last time we saw young Jonathan Kent.
Deadline is reporting that Jordan Elass (Little Fires Everywhere) and Alexander Garfin (The Peanuts Movie) will play the roles, saying: Elsass’ Jonathan is clean-cut, modest, and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated. Garfin’s Jordan is wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games.
We’re also hearing rumours that in the series Clark will be a stay-at-home dad, having lost his job at The Daily Planet due to cutbacks while Lois is the breadwinner in the family. In the series it seems that Jonathan Kent is dead and Martha (stop it!) is still alive and living on the Kent farm.
No word on when the series will arrive yet, but we’ll keep you posted
