Get ready for the new daily show

The Orville has got a third season, folks! Yes!

Great news as some of my favourite shows have been renewed by Fox.

Yes, it’s that time of year again as shows get their necks on the block and with the Disey/Fox merger it’s been hard to guess what would make it and waht wouldn’t.

So here’s how it went.

Coming back:

Bob’s Burgers,Family Guy, The Simpsons, Last Man Standing and The Orville

Cancelled:

Lethal Weapon, The Gifted and Gotham

So it’s great to hear that Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville  – one of my favourite shows of the last year – is back along with no brainers Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers and, of course, The Simpsons.

And while we knew it already, we have of course said farewell to Gotham (which reached the 100 episode syndication minimum) and it’s no surprise that Lethal Weapon got the chop given its epically chaotic filming in three short years… though we’re big fans of Seann William Scott.

But I’m also hearing that The Orville has actually been granted three seasons; is it true? I don’t know but for now, I’ll take the third season with open arms.

Thoughts?

Oh, and Seth McFarlane took it like a champ lol

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
