What would 24 be without Jack Bauer? Well according to an article released by TVLine, Fox is looking to find out. According to this report, Fox is looking to develop a spin-off to 24, that would focus on an all new male anti-hero, who would take the place of CTU agent, Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland).

The article goes on to say that this new agent would be working under a more experienced female agent, and that familiar faces may make appearances throughout, including Jack Bauer and Kate Morgan

The show is to be produced by Manny Coto, Evan Katz and Howard Gordon, the first two will also be writing the show. The series is scheduled to begin as a miniseries, in real time, with the potential for longer series in the future, if the show is a success.

I honestly think it is too early to tell if this will be a good or bad move for the future of 24. We don’t know who this new lead is, and until then it is difficult to form an opinion. However, with a familiar writing and producing team working on the show, I feel fans can rest easy.
