The new Twin Peaks series is under two years away from being released it seems the casting of the new series is very quickly increasing.

Jennifer Jason Leigh has been cast in the show. It’s unclear how many episodes she will be in, however. What is also being kept a secret is the amount of original cast members are appearing in the show.

However, recent photographs do show Leigh appearing to film a night shoot with Kyle MacLachlan, who is reprising his role as Dale Cooper. Sheryl Lee, who played Laura Palmer in the original series, is also set to return.

There is speculation that the scene in question is that of a dream sequence and therefore Leigh’s involvement in the show could only be limited to that one dream. This is unclear though.

Jennifer Jason Leigh, joins new cast members Amanda Seyfried, from Les Misérable, Robert Kepper, Balthazar Getty and Robert Forster. There is speculation of Forster’s character being a member of law enforcement as the new sheriff.
The series is set 25 years after the last episode back in 1991 and is highly likely to share many of the same qualities as the original.

The series will be released in 2017.
