Is Superman set to appear briefly in the Supergirl TV series?

Looks likely…

Project Casting Call has just put out the following post: “Central Casting is looking for photo doubles and twins to work on an upcoming Supergirl TV pilot filming in March. Producers are looking for a photo double that is 5’11 or taller and has a ripped physique. In addition, producers are looking for twins to work on an upcoming scene filming on the Supergirl TV pilot.”

The fact that it’s for a photo double would imply Superman will only appear fleetingly in the show, which has been rumoured for a while now.

Based on the DC Comics character, the Supergirl tells the story of Kara Zor-El, who was born on the planet Krypton, but escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin Superman. But now, at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

No word on when the series will air yet though…
