Brilliant! It looks like we’re getting Cobra Kai Season 5 sooner than we thought!

With Season 4 dropping on New Year’s Day, we expected the next season to be a Christmas or New Year’s present this year again despite knowing it was filmed back-to-back with four.

But, thankfully, this isn’t the case as Netflix have dropped an awesome trailer for the fifth season with the release date of September 9th!

Co-creator Hayden Schlossberg had this to say about season 5: “We really do still have some of our biggest fireworks and biggest cannons left. So we know that we have some big, epic things up our sleeve.

“But it does become like, ‘Okay, how do you top that each season?’ As long as it comes from the place of character, fans will get into it and what we don’t want to do is [where] it just becomes more spectacle than substance. And so that’s the overriding goal.”

Cobra Kai is consistently the most entertaining and silly but great series on TV and we can’t wait for the next season. Are we on our own on this? Let us know…

Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.

Cobra Kai Season 5 premieres September 9th only on Netflix.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
