From the Star Trek panel at Comic-Con@Home we have a bunch of new Star Trek news.

Well, some.

Nickelodeon and CBS Television Studios have officially revealed the title and logo of their upcoming Star Trek series, Star Trek: Prodigy, which is about a group of lawless teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation.

The series is aimed at younger viewers but, like new series Star Trek: Lower Decks (more on that in a minute), it will fit into the established Trek lore, most likely during Star Trek: Discovery Season 3.

The logo looks like this:

Speaking of Lower Decks, we also got the opening scene from episode one of the series that focuses on the people behind the scenes on a USS Starship and it arrives on CBS All-Access on August 6th.

Get an exclusive look at a hilarious scene from the upcoming series premiere of Star Trek: Lower Decks, an all-new animated comedy featuring the voices of stars Jack Quaid (Ensign Brad Boimler) and Tawny Newsome (Ensign Beckett Mariner).

We also got information that ten stories have already been written for the Anson Mount starring Star Trek: Brave New Worlds, which focuses on Captain Pike and is set pre-the original series.

Showrunner AlexKurtzman said: “There are 10 stories broken, which is very exciting, and they’re just sort of at the beginning, but it was one of those shows that I think everybody came in with such enthusiasm, and so much love.”

There’s still no word on when Discovery Season 3 is expected to air.

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
