With the Arrow/Flash crossover approaching, it seems that some details have been confirmed and here’s the round-up of what we can expect…
Legends of Tomorrow will begin here; Stephen Amell himself said: “We’ve done an excellent job of weaving not just two shows, but three shows together. As always, it was logistically challenging, but I think when they’re finished, whenever that is, because there’s little pieces here and there to grab, I think that these … crossover episodes standing together will probably be, in my mind, the pinnacle achievement for both shows.”
And it seems the cast will be pretty big as The Flash, Grant Gustin, said: “It feels even bigger. I feel like more people are a part of it on both sides. We’re tying in ’Legends,’ obviously, so it’s just bigger this year.”
Amell added: “When we started shooting ’Arrow,’ there was just me, right? And then when they started ’Flash,’ it was just Barry, and then obviously, the worlds expand… We shot a scene that had, like, nine superheroes in it. Nine people with either powers or super suits. It was an amazing thing to look at, to look out over the scene and see the world that has been built over the course of three plus years.”
The current speculation is that the nine characters are: Green Arrow, The Flash, Speedy, Black Canary, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, The new Firestorm, White Canary and The Atom. We reckon this will be on the money.
Vandal Savage will probably appear as the cast have all talked about his role in it. Gustin said: “I’m working a lot with Casper Crump as Savage, and he’s really good,” while Stephen Amell added: “Vandal Savage, by the way, is a spectacular character.”
The crossover will tell one long story whereas last year’s Flarrow (yes, that’s a thing, apparently) could have been watched separately without having to see the other, but this year the two episodes will have one villain and you’ll need to watch them both for the full story: “If you put them back to back on one night, they would run like one two-hour episode of television … In fact, most of ’The Flash’ episode takes place in Star City, and most of the ’Arrow’ episode takes place in Central City,” said Stephen Amell.
On top of all that it has been confirmed that Barry Allen knows about Damien Darhk, just like Oliver knew about Zoom at the end of the flash forward at the end of Arrow’s season 4 finale.
Barry will apparently be more of a smartass, much like his comic counterpart oh and we can expect characters from both series can be expected to cross paths again this year.
We’re stoked… what about you guys?
