Knowing exactly how to tease the audience, HBO have released a brand new promo video for what’s coming in 2016, and the thing that instantly caught our eye was the brief sneak peek at Game of Thrones season six.

Though the new promo obviously doesn’t give anything too juicy away, we get a few small insights into what to expect. You can watch the brand new promo below, or if you want to get to the meaty GoT clips, skip on to around the 1:50 mark:

Nothing new to confirm in regards to plot – we would imagine that will happen once the next trailer lands ahead of the series – but what we do see is Cersei’s funky new haircut and seemingly kinder nature (we automatically don’t trust her), Daenerys looking as badass as ever and a glimpse of Ramsay Bolton.

The promo also features clips from HBO’s other new series of shows like Girls, Vinyl and Confirmation.

HBO haven’t confirmed an official release date for Game of Thrones season six yet, all we know is that it’s some time in April. Get excited by watching our brand new video analysis of season six’s teaser.

Plus, the guys at Squareeyed have put together this analysis of the teaser released last week, edited by our own Marc… check out below
