Netflix has revealed the above video of Superman star Henry Cavill in the Witcher wig and costume.
Yes, Henry Cavill is Geralt! And now we know how he looks in the role.
Cavill has made his love for the Witcher games and novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski pretty well known in the past and has been a big fan cast for a while, so this seems to be working out well for everyone, especially Netflix who are making the series.
The first season will be eight episodes and executive producer Lauren S. Hissrich said of Cavill’s casting on Twitter: “He was my first meeting. I didn’t have writers or scripts yet – just a greenlight and a lot of passion. That was four months ago, and I’ve never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been. I’m so thrilled to welcome HENRY CAVILL to the #Witcher family.”
