WATCH: Teaser announcing Wednesday Season 2 has started filming

May 8th, 2024 by Marc Comments

Get those fingers clicking as filming has officially begun on Wednesday Season 2.

The new series will be a mix of old and new faces as Jenna Ortega is back as Wednesday with Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Fomez), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley) and Luyanda Unati (Deputy Ritchie Santiago) all being moved up to series regulars.

However, the big news is that the cast this time out will be getting a notable set of additional talent, with Doctor Who’s Billie Piper, Return To Silent Hill’s Evie Templeton, The Handmaid’s Tale’s Owen Painter and Game of Thrones’ Noah Taylor all joining the cast. The guests stars for season 2 are very impressive with Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo all joining.

Series creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar said: “We are thrilled that the entire Addams family will be enrolling in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces.”

Director Tim Burton is set to helm two episodes this season – he directed eight episodes last season.

So, there you have it Nerds and Nerdettes, we’re heading back to Nevermore and it looks like this time Wednesday is bringing the whole family for an extended stay; will you be watching? Let me know…

Netflix clicks its fingers for a second season of Wednesday

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
