WATCH: The Ghostbusters visit The Overlook Hotel in fun Halloween animated treat

October 3rd, 2021 by Marc Comments

Oh, now THIS is a Halloween treat!

Animator Parker Simmons has put a new video on his youtube channel which sees the Ghostbusters, well, The Not Really Ghostbusters, facing off against a very iconic haunted house.

In recent years, we have seen the boys in gray meet the Turtles, Transformers, Lone Gunmen, various incarnations of themselves and even briefly Lo-Pan from Big Trouble In Little China and now they’re meeting Lloyd the bartender from the Overlook hotel, the setting of Stephen King’s novel and Stanley Kubrick’s movie, The Shining.

Simmons has a full Ghostbusters playlist here, and has promised a new animation each week between now and Halloween, so get caught up – it’s really worth a watch and each episode is only a minute of two, so there’s no excuse to not get them watched.

Also, the voice acting for Peter Venkman in this is spot on… also, the interaction between Egon and Ray near the end was so good.

Check it out below and show Simmons some love over on YouTube.

Oh, and I LOVE this Beetlejuice crossover… it makes so much sense when you think about it.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
