WATCH: Trailer for Black Mirror Season 4 takes what terrifies us and, well, makes it even worse…

Well, here we go again as Black Mirror takes something that terrifies us and makes it even worse.

A trailer for the upcoming fourth season has hit and focuses on an episode called Arkangel, directed by Jodie Foster.

The episode focuses on a mother who loses her daughter in a park and, after finding her again resorts to a drastic measure to ensure it won’t happen again.

Producer Annabel Jones said about the episode: “This one’s like an indie movie set in blue-collar America, even though we filmed it in Canada,” she said. “It follows a mother who has a young daughter and faces that perennial question of how to look after a child in an increasingly technical world; it taps into helicopter parenting…

“I always hope that whatever we tackle, it’s never on the nose and just more in the background but this episode asks how do you be a responsible mother in a world in which you can be all-powerful and omnipresent? How do you exercise responsibility? How do you ensure you give your child independence in a world in which you can have a lot of control?”

There’s no release date for Black Mirror Season 4 but we will dread the moment with great anticipation.

Here’s the trailer:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
