Oh, yes! The trailer is here for Kevin Smith’s new Masters of the Universe Revelations series is here and it looks great!

The series will pick up where the iconic 80s animated show ended and will take the characters in a whole new direction and the updating of the classic designs are looking pretty great in the new trailer.

Oh, and playing ‘I need a Hero’ over the top? Perfect!

Check out the awesome cast if you doubt how superb this will be: Supergirl’s Chris Wood plays He-Man/Prince Adam, Star Wars veteran Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Buffy herself Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Clueless star Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man and the original voice of Skeletor, Alan Oppenheimer, as Moss Man, Liam Cunningham as Man-At-Arms, Griffin Newman as Orco, Stephen Root as Cringer, Diedrich Bader as King Randor and Trap Jaw, Tiffany Smith as Andra, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klops, Susan Eisenberg as Sorceress, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, Phil LaMarr as He-Ro, Tony Todd as Scare Glow, Cree Summer as Priestess, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Beast Man.

I know what I’ll be binging on Netflix on July 23rd.

Let me know your thoughts.

From Executive Producer Kevin Smith, comes an epic story that picks up where the 80’s series left off and brings the power of Grayskull back to the world. Part 1 of Masters of the Universe: Revelation premieres July 23, only on Netflix.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
