Where Netflix’s Marvel shows went and why they might not be finished

With the cancellation of shows like Daredevil and Luke Cage leaving a Defenders-shaped hole in a lot of people’s lives, Jeff Loeb – the head of Marvel Television – has spoken out about the sudden and abrupt shows’ ending.

In an interview with Deadline Loeb had to say: “We were blindsided and the things that were to come weren’t finished yet, we weren’t ready to announce that, so there was this space in between it, so it did look like maybe we were going to go out. Then suddenly, we were arising again like the Phoenix.”

So what’s this phoenix that he’s talking about?

Well with all the new Marvel shows coming to Disney’s new streaming platform, Loeb has also been talking about a bunch of what he calls “street-level” shows and that Daredevil and Luke Cage will be making a comeback, although nothing was mentioned of Jessica Jones or Iron Fist: “Some of those appeared on Netflix, but there are others that live in that category, which are still to come,” Loeb confirmed.

So will these others yet to come be the likes of Hawkeye and Loki or do we have even more Marvel TV to look forward to that hasn’t been announced yet? Only time will tell, but I for one can’t wait to see Daredevil and Luke again.
