Season 6 of The Walking Dead really upped their game with an increased sense of scale when we saw the safe-zone of Alexandria infested with walkers. Well, thanks to a couple of sources we now know of a new character from the comics who will be making an appearance, along with something else that will push the boundaries of television in season 7.
A month ago, The Walking Dead account on Instagram posted this about the character Ezekiel from the comics.
Now thanks to The Spoling Dead Fans on Facebook, we know this character has been cast and has already begun filming scenes.
That’s right, the character of Ezekiel has already been cast (though no word on who has been cast yet) and filmed scenes for the third episode of the season, which features The Kingdom, the location connected with the character in the comics, who had a pet Shiva as mentioned above.
What it doesn’t mention, is that Shiva is a tiger, something that of course would be very difficult to film for real, so it appears Shiva will appear thanks to a mix of animatronic effects and computer generated imagery.
Sadly, this news doesn’t tell us anything about which character doesn’t survive the beating received from Negan at the end of season 6, so unfortunately we’ll still have to wait until the end of February next year to find out, but it’s already looking like the show won’t be taking it easy in season 7.
