Is Bethesda working on a Game of Thrones RPG? Here’s the – admittedly thin – details

August 27th, 2017 by Marc Comments

So, we all know that after tonight’s season finale we will have a looooooong (maybe two years?!) wait until the final episodes of Game of Thrones.

And yes, that makes us sad.

However…

The good folks over at NeoGaf have spotted a listing from Target for “Bethesda: Game of Thrones.”

And this could be very exciting news indeed as Bethesda are a studio known for their RPG titles (Skyrim and Fallout) and would therefore be a dream pairing for GoT.

Now, before we all get too excited (as if!), we must stress that there is nothing in stone here, no confirmations or anything else along those lines, but with Season 7 wrapping tonight, the timing does seem… interesting.

Of course, if you really need to do some gaming in the GoT universe, there has already been two RPGs and the awesome Telltale Games outing too.

So there you have it… a Game of Thrones game from the people behind Skyrim? That tingling you feel is excitement. Just try to keep it at bay.

For now.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
