Star Wars 1313 trademark not renewed by Disney

January 20th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

In April 2013 LucasArts was shut down by Disney after they had bought them out, so one of the biggest games that the company was working on was Star Wars 1313, rumours had been going round that there was a chance that Disney might change their mind and release 1313… well by the looks of things this will not happen.

According to a report by The Escapist, the trademark is not getting renewed by Disney.

In a statment the US paitent office said “The United States Patent and Trademark Office currently classifies Star Wars 1313 as ‘Abandoned because no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued.'”

So, if anybody had hopes that Star Wars 1313 will be ressurected at this years E3 will have to throw those hopes out the window.
