We here at FTN Towers are big, big fans of TRON and this sounds like just the ticket until the next movie hits…

Giorgio Moroder is something of a legend having worked on Midnight Express, Scarface and more, as well as having restored Fritz Lang’s timeless Metropolis.

However, givin his now advanced years – he’s 74 – he is having something of a second coming – in no small part due to Daft Punk (below) and, with everything being linked, he’s now working on scoring a new TRON game.

Clash Music have now reported: “…Giorgio has been recruited to provide the soundtrack for the upcoming ‘Tron’ video game – something which could involve a certain EDM heavyweight. “I’m going to meet Skrillex next week when I’m back. I’m doing the music for a game for Disney’s ‘Tron’. We have about five themes, electronic stuff and let’s see if he’s interested in remixing or re-working one of the songs.”

So, not only are we getting a new TRON game, we’re getting Giorgio scoring it? Well, if that just ain’t fine with us…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
