He is vengeance, he is the night, he is… The Bromley Batman? Yes, you heard that correctly, there is a masked avenger patrolling the streets of Bromley, as well as the towns of Penge and Lewisham.
According to the London newspaper, The Standard, this vigilante has stopped multiple muggings. He is described as having a beard, some martial arts skills and a deep gravely voice (Insert Christian Bale joke here). It is also The Standard that gave this person the moniker of The Bromley Batman.
The interesting thing about this story is that, despite multiple people coming forward, saying that this man stopped several violent crimes; the police have stated that they have not had any reports about this vigilante.
Who knows what the full story of this man – this legend – truly is. For all we know, it could be just some people claiming that they have seen this man, for the purposes of attention.
However, maybe he is the hero we deserve, just not the one we need.
