Family Guy could be heading for the silver screen!
When asked on Twitter by a fan when he would get round to making a film of the sitcom, creator Seth MacFarlane teased that the Griffins could be heading to cinemas “soon”.
Speculation about a Family Guy movie has been relentless for years, with Lois Griffin voice actress Alex Borstein telling Digital Spy in 2011 that the prospect of one “would be amazing”.
But not on Twitter, MacFarlane seems confident it’ll happen…
“I would love the opportunity to have a longer time to [tell a story],” she said.
“Having an hour-long format, and a longer time to tell a bigger, more intricate story, I think would be a really cool opportunity for Family Guy.”
It technically wouldn’t be the first movie, with straight-to-DVD film Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story released in 2005. It eventually aired on TV as three separate episodes.
Family Guy airs on BBC Two and Three in the UK and Fox in the US.
