In what is a rather unsurprising development, it seems that The Inhumans movie has now been totally pulled from Marvel/Disney’s release schedule.
We reported last week that, despite being moved twice, Marvel boss Kevin Feige was hopeful the movie would still happen (here) but now it seems that it’s been pulled altogether.
Does this mean we’ll never see the movie? Hard to tell, but we know that with Agents of SHIELD doing the Inhumans story, it seemed to be an issue for the movie moving forward with that particular story (here).
Some are also speculating that with X-Men: Apocalypse being the last of a trilogy of X-Men movies, as well as Wolverine being the last outing for the character, Fantastic Four being a colossal disaster and the Gambit movie currently finding it difficult to get a footing, this may be getting ready for the welcoming home of the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters to the MCU, similar to what happened with Spider-man.
Heck, the Deadpool folks said last week (here) that it’s not out of the question that there could be some crossover in the future.
We’re not saying this is happening – we’d imagine after Deadpool FOX are happy to hold on to the franchise – but hey, it’s not the first time the rumour has been out there.
Smoke with out fire? Probably, but we do know Inhumans ain’t happening anytime soon…
