With us all waiting for news on X-Men: Dark Pheonix, we’re picking up every little tidbit and the newest one is certainly interesting.
Actor Daniel Cudmore who played Colossus in the first three X-Men and then returned for X-Men: Days of Future Past (but was replaced in Deadpool by Stefan Kapičić) is set for the new X-Men outing.
Hoever, it may not be as Colossus…
The character of Colossus was Canadian when played by Cudmore and then Russian in Deadpool, which caused some confusion among fans, so it’s not a given that Cudmore will be him again… although the actor did confirm on Twitter that he’s in the movie, saying: “I can’t comment on what character I’m playing, sorry…”
Of course he could be playing coy because, well, having played a character four times in the franchise it would make sense that he return to it, however, with Dark Phoenix being set during X-Men: The Last Stand which was eleven years ago, he’s probably not young enough to pull it off.
But who knows… either way, it’s just making the already confusing timeline even more confusing.
Douglas Adams once wore that time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so. We know how he feels.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix opens November 2nd, 2018.
