Ooooooooh… Harry Potter author JK Rowling is teasing something big coming to the Harry Potter universe…
The author, who also penned the Fantastic Beasts movies put this tweet out earlier today:
Sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places #HarryPotter #CursedChild pic.twitter.com/TQb68Wtqiz

But what could “sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places” and the link to the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play mean?
Well, obviously, the first thing that comes to mind apart from a new book is a movie, but the author quickly said it was not a new movie (Pottermore is the official Harry Potter website):
There was some speculation that the stage show had changed owners after the marquee for the New York changed to ones closer in appearance to the Harry Potter books and movies, leading some to believe that a Cursed Child movie might be coming, however, a representative from the show quickly put this to bed: “I can confirm that these rumors are absolutely NOT TRUE,” they told EW.
“The show has not changed ownership. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child continues to be produced by Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions in London, Broadway and all around the world. Warner Bros. has always been a valued partner of Cursed Child since its inception. Their role has not changed.”
So what is it? A book? A new show? Or, and we’ve heard whispers of this before, a tv series? Whatever it is, I’ll be waiting patiently under my Slytherin blanket.
