Coming in September is a brand new James Bond novel which will see the icon return to the sixties for a brand new adventure.
Although the plot and title remains secret at the moment, it will be written by William Boyd.
The Ian Fleming estate has revealed that they were impressed by Daniel Craig’s latest adventure, Skyfall, and said the story will see a 45-year-old bond in 1969 and will be published on the 26th of September 2013. It will appear in the United States and Canada in early October however. HarperCollins, a subsidiary of News World Corporation, are publishing it.
It has been sixty years since the first novel featuring the character debuted in Casino Royale and the movie franchise has hit new heights with Skyfall taking $1 billion at the box office making it the most successful Bond movie ever. And to keep the brand alive in novels, selected authors are being invited to contribute new stories for Bond. Looks like James Bond will be around for another while yet.
