The Whisperers arc is still rolling along as we open with Andrea and Maggie meeting up on their ways to and from Alexandria. Michonne and Aaron continue the search for Negan and Eugene may be giving up too much to the mysterious voice on the radio.

Kirkman, as usual, giving you just enough to scream at a comic book, writes Negan to perfection in this month’s issue. I honestly don’t think the character’s ever been better and his meeting with The Whisperers should not be missed!

Michonne and Aaron’s encounter certainly doesn’t fair as well and Rick seems to be in full on anti-Whisperer propaganda mode as the people of Alexandria train to become an army.

I’ve been hearing the complaints about “how nothing happens” and ” Kirkman drags these arcs out for too long”, but for me, the pacing is almost a character itself in The Walking Dead, for instance, ramping up to 2 issues a month through the ALL OUT WAR, but alas, for some it is an acquired taste!

As a long time TWD fan, I must say I’m really enjoying The Whisperers/Negan arc after a long, even for me, festival planning that seemed to drag on forever. It is for this reason I’m giving The Walking Dead #154 my highest score of 5 out of 5 Nerds.
