Powers is a very special kind of world, as it deals with “normal” people in a world of superheros. It was this unique plot that made Powers special, and thus gave creator Brian Michael Bendis innumerous praise for his take on the genre. With Powers now set for a live-action series on the PlayStation Network, the comic is going through a relaunch. The new Powers #1 will feature a special variant cover featuring the lead actors for the upcoming series.
Here we see Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward as homicide detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, the two lead roles in the series. The relaunch of Powers will connect with the new series, thus making this cover much more poignant.
